The SAF option is “ON” by default in the PK Connect App for the biggest part of the new smartphones and tablets. Most newer Android devices use this function for communicating/connecting with an external device like Picture Keeper. If you have an older device, purchased over 3 years ago, we would recommend disabling SAF feature to prevent any difficulties with the backup process.
If your Android is not communicating/connecting with Picture Keeper (No Device Detected), follow the prompts below to disable SAF option.
- Tap the menu (3 lines)
- Tap Help
- Turn “OFF” the SAF option.
- Tap the X twice to go back to the Start Backup screen.
- Tap Start Backup
- Tap the check box for “Use by default for this USB device” when prompted.
- Tap OK
- Tap the yellow Start Backup button
