The SAF option is “ON” by default in the PK Connect App for the biggest part of the new smartphones and tablets. Most newer Android devices use this function for communicating/connecting with an external device like Picture Keeper. If you have an older device, purchased over 3 years ago, we would recommend disabling SAF feature to prevent any difficulties with the backup process.
If your Android is not communicating/connecting with Picture Keeper (No Device Detected), follow the prompts below to disable SAF option.
- Tap the gear icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen to open the Settings menu.
- Tap the “Help” option.
- Tap “Advanced Options”.
- Toggle the “Backup using SAF” option to the off position (the switch will turn grey).
